Anna Sofie Keller Brandsborg is a freelance opera director based in Berlin and Copenhagen with a particular focus on producing and directing opera in new formats. She is animated by the importance of critically rethinking what opera is, can, and should be – of expanding the array of artists included, voices heard and stories told.
Anna Sofie Keller Brandsborg is a freelance opera director based in Berlin and Copenhagen. Anna Sofie has a special interest in directing and producing opera in new performative formats. Anna Sofie has directed, assisted and worked as staff director the Royal Danish Opera, Copenhagen Opera Festival, Opera Hedeland, Tutti D’Amore (Berlin), Søholm Opera, Amager Klassisk, etc. Furthemore Anna Sofie has an interest in collective creative processes and in directing newly composed opera in collaboration with contemproary opera composers.
