MORE IS MORE
Production
MORE IS MORE productions is a collaborative project by composer danish Kirstine Fogh Vindelev and music theater director Anna Sofie Keller Brandsborg. The initiative operates at the intersection of music, theatre, and genre clashes. Through their collaborative process, More is More creates innovative shows that challenge traditional genre structures, often blending styles, embracing playful clashes, and engaging with pressing political themes. Audience participation is central to their approach, opening spaces for reflection, dialogue, and critical theory.
Rooted in a shared artistic practice, More is More develops interdisciplinary performances that rethink the classical canon through contemporary political and feminist perspectives. The work is curiosity-driven and exploratory, developed in close collaboration with performers, artists, and research across disciplines.
The project has realized a series of music-dramatic shows productions, including The Undoing of Carmen (Betty Nansen Theatre, 2024), FANFICTION OF THE OPERA – The Trial (Sort/Hvid, 2026/2027), Medea – Women Are Not Supposed to Be Violent (Blaagaard Theatre, 2027/2028), and RING – FOREVER HOT (Copenhagen Opera Festival). Together, these works form an ongoing artistic investigation into violence, gender, and responsibility within the classical operatic tradition.
More is More seeks to develop new forms of music theatre where complexity, excess, and sensorial intensity coexist as core aesthetic principles.
